Unity Startup

Overview

This guide installs the Unity Asset version of Wiener into a Unity project.

Review Compatibility & Requirements first. Unity Asset version 1.0.0 was created with Unity 6000.3.13f1. This documentation does not guarantee every other Unity version or Player environment.

Purchase

  1. Purchase Wiener from its Unity Asset Store product page
  2. Select Add My Assets to add it to your account

Check the product page for the latest price, discount, Unity compatibility, and license information.

Import

  1. Open the target Unity project
  2. Select My Assets in Package Manager
  3. Select Wiener and press Download
  4. Press Import to import the package

Install Input System for the Demo

Wiener's demo scene uses Unity's Input System package. The distributed Wiener package does not modify the Package Manifest in the buyer's project, so install Input System separately.

  1. Open Window > Package Manager in Unity
  2. Switch the package list to Unity Registry
  3. Select Input System and press Install
  4. If Unity asks to switch the active input backend, follow the prompt and restart the Unity Editor
  5. Then open Assets/Wiener/Demo/Editor/Scenes/WienerDemo.unity

Dependency scope

The Input System dependency applies to UI input in the demo scene. Do not treat it as a statement that Converter, YamlEditor, or SettingEditor has the same dependency.

If you opened the demo before installing Input System, references such as InputSystemUIInputModule or the input actions may be missing. Install the package, then reopen the demo scene.
